Day 9, July 16

It's the last day of our journey. We are sad to be leaving the Chesapeake bay and the awesome Sigsbee crew but also happy to reunite with our families and friends. We woke up early to go crabbing with Clay on Lankford Bay. We got to see the beautiful sunrise from Clay's boat. Then we used a trot line with chicken neck bait to catch crabs. We had never used this method of fishing before so we were excited. We also got to keep the crabs we caught for dinner later. Then we boarded the Sigsbee and competed in the Skipjack Races, a watch on watch competition. The Skipjack Races surprisingly ended in a dead heat, with the port and starboard watches racking up 1,000,006 points each!

Finally, we arrived back in Baltimore. It's really been amazing ride on the Sigsbee. Farewell.

I have really enjoyed reading about the adventures of this group. Thank you for posting so frequently. It's hard to be away from my daughter and this blog has made it a little easier! Can't wait for pick-up today to hear more!
